Product Designer
About Agentr
Most independent designers spend a big chunk of every week on admin: writing proposals, sending contracts, chasing invoices, and switching between half a dozen tools. Agentr is the AI-powered workspace that handles all of it, from first lead to final invoice, so designers can focus on the work. We are AI-native, venture-backed, based in San Francisco, and growing with real customers.
The role
We are adding a Product Designer to our team. This is not a traditional design role. We are not looking for someone defined by a specific tool stack or conventional methodologies. We want a designer who treats AI as a core part of how they think, research, prototype, and ship. You will work directly with our founder, engineers, and early customers to shape how freelancers interact with AI in their day to day business workflow.
What you will do
- Design the core proposal, contract, and invoicing flows, where AI assists with drafting and you own the interaction model.
- Define how Agentr's AI suggestions appear, get accepted, and get corrected, an interaction pattern with no established convention yet.
- Run lightweight sessions with early customers and bring findings straight into the next sprint.
- Build and own our design system from scratch, alongside engineering.
- Own product design end to end and ship to production with engineers, not through a handoff queue.
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated daily use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Midjourney, or v0.
- Ability to move from problem definition to testable prototype with speed and clarity.
- Strong systems thinking: you design workflows and experiences, not just individual screens.
- Shipped consumer or prosumer products where polish matters.
- Self-directed and comfortable owning decisions at a small, fast-moving company.
- Based in San Francisco for full-time, in-office work.
Nice to have
- Prior experience designing AI-native products.
- A clear point of view on where AI and design are heading.
